Knock, Knock Osama

“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight. Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine and champions at mixing drinks, who acquit the guilty for a bribe, but deny justice to the innocent. Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust;” –Isiah 5:20-25

“Knock knock!”

“Who’s there?”

What do you do? Do you open the door, wrap your arms around Him, and invite Him in? Do you tidy up the place first? Do you ask Him to come back at a more convenient time?

Do you….

Send Him away?

As you may know, Osama Bin Laden was captured and killed a couple of days ago. Do you think Jesus ever knocked on Osama’s door? I am sure He did. Obviously Osama was not ready for Jesus. He chose another path instead. Jesus, being the gentleman that He is, just went away. Quite a shame. It is pretty hard to kill innocent people while you are following Jesus. So Osama instead chose to build a mansion, enclosed by security walls and barbed wire.

“Knock Knock!”

“Who’s there?”

Maybe He should have opened the door for Jesus instead.

Is Jesus knocking on your door?
